STUFF ABOUT ME:

Nate is 11 months old and was born with Down syndrome.  From the first week he was in the NICU at Brookwood Hospital, Betty Bell was there.  She gave us so much helpful information and guidance during a trying time in his little life.  He has been attending the Bell Center since he was just six weeks old.  At the Bell Center, Nate’s therapists have helped him meet many physical developmental goals.  He attends Little Leaps two days a week and loves circle time and reading books.  He is working on getting into hands and knees and trying to learn to crawl.  He is also working on graduating to whole foods and sucking through a straw.  His therapy at the Bell Center has been such a great support and guidance for helping him meet all his developmental goals.  He is doing so well and looks forward to several more years at the Bell Center to reach his full potential.

WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:

You should vote for me because I'm running (Full Marathon) for an amazing child and an amazing family.  I have had the privilege to coach both of the Gorham's daughters at Vestavia Hills Soccer Club and I'm glad to help their family out in whatever way I can.  Please donate and vote.

Need a Mother’s Day gift? Imagine Scholar to the rescue!

$13 donation to our water project = an original Mother’s Day handwritten poem by an Imagine Scholar student (to be scanned and emailed to your mother).

Or if you’re feeling funky…

$87 donation to our water project = the aforementioned poem and a PERSONALIZED Mother’s Day rap video performance by the one and only Siyanda (another Imagine Scholar student)

If I were you, I get my mom the personalized rap video :)

Greetings from Norway,

how are you doing? Welcome to Crowdrise. Here is my Desember vote for you. You are doing amazing things for charity here at Crowdrise.

Please consider joining me in supporting my fundraiser for The Trevor Project by visiting my project pages, and donating or becoming part of my team. As a member of the team, you will also become a fundraiser for the charities and can ask for support from your own friends and family. It just takes one voice to make an impact.

The Trevor Project is all about helping teenagers that are struggeling daily with depression, anxiety, bullying, discrimination just because they are gay. I am a lesbian myself and I have personally experienced how it is when people say you are sick because you are gay. The Trevor Lifeline is the only nationwide, around-the-clock crisis and suicide prevention helpline for LGBTQ youth. There should be equal rights for everyone and it is time to raise awareness and help these teenagers get a good life and let them experience what true love is.

I hope to hear from you.
Cheers,
Elise Marie
