Hello!
At less than a year of age, Ayelet Galena was diagnosed with a rare disease that presented many challenges, one of which was bone marrow failure. At 17 months, thanks to the work of many organizations and many individuals, Ayelet underwent a bone marrow transplant.
With a broken heart, I regret to announce that January 31st around 5AM, after hours of fighting and holding on, our precious Ayelet - the heart of our world, the light and strength for so many, could not fight any more.

She put up a serious fight, but her lungs collapsed, her blood pressure dropped and the blood could not get to her huge heart.
I would like to raise money for other children to find a bone marrow match so that they can be given a second chance at life while running in the NYC Half Marathon in memory of Ayelet.
It costs $54 to process every kit, and there are thousands of kits waiting in line to be processed and many people waiting for just one single match. Donating to Gift of Life, the Jewish Bone Marrow Registry, will allow for these kits to be processed and in the merit of the money raised, may her neshama have an aliyah.
