THE STORY:

The 116th running of the Boston Marathon was historic in many ways.

One of the warmest marathon days on record, with temperatures climbing above 80 degrees, many runners decided to forego the event, and still many who took to the course, were overcome by heat exhaustion.

For UUSC, the historic event came in the form of our two runners -- Mark Cronin-Golomb and Raghav Raghavacharya both ran smart races and helped to raise a cumulative total of $4,002, with an expected corporate matching gift of $1,000 – surpassing our $5,000 goal.

Warmest thanks to Mark and Raghav, and all those who helped to make UUSC’s second Boston Marathon participation a success.
