Help our relay runners go the distance! They're running nearly 200 miles to create more safe and affordable housing.
The Enterprise-sponsored Running for Shelter relay team is a group of 12 recreational runners participating in the annual Hood to Coast relay race in Oregon August 26-27, 2011.
There's a reason they call Hood to Coast the "Mother of All Relays." The world's largest relay race will have our runners starting on the evening of Friday, August 26 and crossing the finish line approximately 25 hours later. The race starts at Oregon’s famed Mt. Hood and will end in the town of Seaside.
Running for Shelter will collectively run the 197 mile Hood to Coast course in support of Fordham Bedford Housing Corporation, a nonprofit community organization in Bronx, New York, providing safe, affordable housing to more than 3,000 families.
Enterprise formed the Running for Shelter team 15 years ago and has raised nearly $600,000 for nonprofit developers across the country.
