THE STORY:
Calling all witches and trolls, goblins and ghouls, Pumpkins, bumpkins, tricksters and fools! Get those skeletons out of your closet, it’s time to sign up for the SCARE –UP Hat tournament!
In honor and memory of a many time director of the Cramp-Up Ultimate Tournament, Troy Hemmerling, players from all over will come together this October 28th to in his words “…be brave, foolish, joyful and generous”.
Troy died at the age of 48 on April 21, 2011 of a rare cancer leaving behind a young daughter and a wife. Cancer is an all too common issue in our community. So with this in mind, Troy’s wife, Ginny helped to create a resource for children who have a parent who has cancer or who died from cancer. This resource is called Kids Konnected. Proceeds from the Scare – up will support Kids Konnected and children in our community.
Kids Konnected meets the first and third Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at the Sharing Place located at 916 10th Street, Medford, OR.
