EVENT DATE: Jul 12, 2010
DEADLINE TO GIVE: Nov 12, 2010
Thank you to all those who have donated...if you haven't yet, here is why you should!
Do you like hiking, biking, bears, trees, deer, camping, rafting, hunting, skiing, climbing, running or fishing? If you answered yes to any of the above, then you should support the National Conservation Lands and all the local non-profits working to protect them.
The National Conservation Lands are composed of National Conservation Areas, National Monuments, Wilderness Areas, Wild and Scenic Rivers, and National Scenic and Historic Trails. The National Conservation Lands consist of the last places where you can experience the history of the American West. From the rivers which Lewis and Clark explored, to pioneer trails, to Native American sites, the heritage and beauty of these places are safeguarded for all to see.
Unfortunately, these lands are increasingly threatened by vandalism, looting, oil and gas drilling and irresponsible recreation. Without national leadership and local advocates, shifting political influences will continue to determine how these lands are managed.
Support the Groups across the Nation working to protect the National Conservation Lands. Pick your favorite project below, donate and win!
Thank You!
