On October 16, 2011 I am competing in my first half marathon in Columbus, Ohio. I have never considered myself a 'runner', but I am excited for the challenge ahead of me to complete the 13.1 miles. I was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio and wanted to find a way to give back to the community. That is where Christ's Table comes into the picture. In today's tough economy I know that it is tough to part with what we work so hard for. But think of one time that the smallest thing someone else did for you made your entire day; a smile, a greeting, a card, or even a favor. That is what I am hoping to do by completing this marathon; I hope that members of the community can come together to make someone's entire day by giving them the gift of food on their table.
