Our Mission
Support our mission by creating your own fundraiser.
South Shore Drill Team combats negative forces including gangs, drugs, violence and high drop-out rates by instilling the importance of teamwork, commitment, and hard work in young people. While the majority of team members come from schools where the dropout rate is as high as 55%, the team witnessed 100% of its high school seniors graduate in June, 2012, and 13 have gone off to college this past fall. Most of our youth continue their eduction with college or technical school, breaking a cycle of poverty. The team's alumni include teachers, law enforcement officers, managers, entrepreneurs, and medical professionals, proving the organization’s ability to inspire its members to benefit their community and creating a “full circle” impact.
