STUFF ABOUT ME:
The University of Michigan is a pioneer in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender advocacy and Ally training. The LGBT & Ally office, now named the Spectrum Center, was established in 1971 through the efforts of Jim Toy, the first openly gay man in the state of Michigan. The office was created through funding from the University’s leadership, and when it opened boasted the first professional staff equipped to work with lesbian and gay students on any higher education campus in the country.
Today, the Spectrum Center is a recognized member of the Division of Student Affairs and is home to many support groups, educational programs, and innovative collaborations across the University community. With sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as our framework, the Spectrum Center is committed to enriching the campus experience and developing students as individuals and as members of communities. Our work is accomplished through student-centered education, outreach, advocacy and support.

I was wondering if you would like to join my fundraiser for The Trevor Project : http://www.crowdrise.com/fundraiserelise/fundraiser/elisemariemyrvangeik this fundraiser was my very first fundraiser on Crowdrise and it means alot to me personally. There are so many teenagers that are struggeling daily with being discriminated for who they are, just because of who they love. This is not right and we need to show the world that equal rights counts for all no matter who we are or what we do in life. No one has the right to judge others. The Trevor Project is the only helpline through telephone for gay teens in all of USA!! and so therefore this is a very important organisasation to support.
