STUFF ABOUT ME:
I am super awesome and I really don't like writing about myself. So I am going to cheat and copy my FB 25 things about me.
1. I don't like coffee - I only drink tea.
2. I really, really dislike winter.
3. I'm trying to eliminate the word HATE from my vocabulary. In other words, I'm erasing hate because I am a huge supporter of the Matthew Shepard Foundation (http://www.matthewshepard.org/).
4. I enjoy cooking and want to get my kitchen remodeled so that I can cook more with that 10 inch chef's knife mentioned in 16 Random Notes.
5. I enjoy a nice glass of wine or two or three or the whole bottle.
6. I actually like my job but not most of the crap that goes along with it.
7. I am a gadget geek girl and need to have all the cool stuff.
8. In 2007 I lost 65 pounds by eating healthy and exercising.
9. I want to loose another 15 pounds, then I'm done!
10. In April 2008 I took a running class and have since become addicted to running.
11. Speaking of running, I ran my first marathon in NY on Nov. 7, 2010.
12. I think I want to run in the NYC marathon one more time. I have a few more months to decide.
13. I used to be a full time journalist, first covering the the electronics industry and then the NYC real estate industry.
14. I have had a few short stories published in feminist and lesbian periodicals.
15. I want to write a book about my running class and new found friends. We have a great story to tell!
16. I've had a website in some form since 1994.
17. I completed my masters in Internet Business Systems right at the dot com bust. But I still use my degree in some way in my current job.
18. I want to learn how to surf off the coast of Australia. I already have two guys who will teach me.
19. I have dyslexia and for the life of me can't give any directions because I mess up the left and right bits. (Dyslexia - the language of my people)
20. I need to get a pair of compression shorts. Hey, this IS random!
21. I should be checking the tech support proxy boxes right now instead of doing this. But I'm fast and can have it done in no time.
22. Which brings me to...I'm very efficient at my job and have all of my daily tasks completed by mid-morning if not earlier. Thus leaving more time for FB and twitter.
23. I have problems with people who are not efficient at their jobs.
24. I am addicted to Crystal Light Green Tea with Peach Mango. I buy it by the case load.
25. I have a huge magnet collection from all of my co-workers travels.
WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:
I might not be the best Volunteer or Fundraiser but I'm decent at it and I can't think of a downside of throwing a vote my way. (word)
