I graduated two years ago with a degree in nursing and have pursued a career in pediatrics. I am currently doing travel nursing, which will take me all over the country to various children's hospitals. Nursing has been challenging but incredibly rewarding and working with critically ill kids teaches me every day to appreciate life. Certain events in my life led me to nursing and I try every day to use my experiences to help others. I hope to eventually work with under-served populations both here at home and abroad.
I'm very passionate about fundraising and volunteering with cancer research foundations. Cancer has had a huge impact on my family- I lost my dad to cancer 6 years ago and my mom is a cancer survivor. I have also lost 2 grandparents, an aunt, and a cousin to cancer. I will spend the rest of my life fighting and fundraising to end this terrible disease. We CAN and WILL kick cancer's ass!
Hmm what else...I'm a vegan and a runner. I drive a hybrid. Just trying to save the world one small step at a time! My life's purpose is to make a difference.
