HERE'S THE STORY:
Over the last year and a half, 40% of our funding for youth stipends has gone into the non-profit economic abyss, yet stipends are critical to our ability to ensure 100% of our youth graduate from high school or attain a GED and apply to and gain acceptance to art school, college and other competitive post secondary programs.
Stipends prevent talented and creative youth from working at McDonalds, or not working at all.
Stipends help youth work hard to meet our requirements for participation and to overcome obstacles at home and school to stay on the path to their creative future. Please give generously to these very deserving youth.

BACKGROUND: Each year, RiverzEdge Arts Project gives 54 talented young artists and designers paid employment in the arts and a voice in their community. The educational stipends we pay allow urban youth who are contributing to their family's income or to their own upkeep to participate in our programs. Young people run our micro-businesses and learning cutting edge arts and design skills, hands-on, through work for clients. The commercial marketplace holds us all to high standards and pushes the teens to go further with their art.
