HERE'S THE STORY:
This is a subject that I've been listening about ever since I was a kid and still hasn't been solved. After more than 10 years I still find that baby seals in Canada continue to be killed in a brutal way to feed the human greed for more money. Because they are after these seals skin they try not to shoot them, hitting them with sticks instead untill they die. Others do shoot them and then leave them to die on the ice while they go looking for more seals. The competition is high and the conditions are harsh so they try to kill as many as possible. Sometimes some of them are actually skinned alive! All of this disguted me as a kid and still does. Its unaceptable that such cruelty still lasts. So I'm going to leave here a couple of links for those who are interested in finding more about this and, perhaps, in helping as well.

Our goal is to reach people who wants to come with us or support to try rescue seals in 2011.(Unfortunately not this year)
That will be a real action with the media support.

Last year, more than 205,000 individual seals were killed during the seal slaughter, and Canada will soon begin its annual merciless murder of seals for their fur, where the ice runs red with blood, again. There is no larger commercial massacre on the planet.
Despite the majority of Canadians against the hunt, thanks to government subsidies and increased harp seal quotas over the past ten years, the seal hunt is back and worse than ever.
