THE STORY:

Growing up is hard enough without having your peers adding to the angst by teasing you, putting you down, and excluding you for being different. Almost 30 percent of teens in the United States are estimated to be involved in school bullying as either a bully, a target of teen bullying, or both. 86% of kids who were picked on or bullied turned to violence in the schools and teen suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death among young adults and adolescents age 15 to 24.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. So my challenge for you is to help me put an end to teen violence and bullying by tweeting, e-mailing, facebooking, and texting about my cause. Together we can spread the word about the detrimental effects of bullying.
Any donations to my Stop the Hate project will go towards The Challenge Day Program, an organization providing teens with programs that demonstrate the possibility of love and connection through the celebration of diversity, truth, and full expression.
My goal is for every school in the country to host a Challenge Day so that every student can learn about the consequences of bullying and teen violence.
