I wanted to write to you once …

I wanted to write to you once again to thank you for supporting Team Markward this past weekend at the Memorial Day Marathon and Races. The weekend was very successful! I completed a very challenging 10 mile trail race on Saturday and Laura and I both completed the 5k on Sunday. More importantly, thank you for helping Laura and I raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund! We partnered with several of my classmates from West Point in this effort, and as a group we raised over $30,000 for the IFHF! It was an exceptionally successful weekend, not only from the stand point of fund raising, but also in simply spreading the word about many of the issues that our nation's veterans face when they return home from deployments. The weekend truly was a celebration of the men and women of our nation’s armed forces. The IFHF is a well deserving charity, and hopefully next year we will be able to build on the success of last weekend. Again, thank you so much for your generosity. Together, we will make a difference!
