I'm running to raise money for Connections for Children and in memory of my friend, Karen Kaye. Karen served as the Executive Director of Connections and her generous spirit, sense of humor, and engaging curiosity about people and places spurs me on to do something I've always wanted to do: run a marathon! Join me in running on the Connections Team or providing a donation! Your generosity will mean that more children will come to school every day ready to learn! Thanks for your support!

Team CFC is an absolutely amazing group of individuals that care about quality child care and early education for kids! Quality child care makes a huge difference for young children - helping them get ready for success in kindergarten and throughout life. Team CFC knows that quality care is simply out of reach for too many families and their children.
On March 18, 2012 we will stand, run and walk to help ensure that all children are healthy, safe and ready to enter kindergarten. We are also running this year to call attention to the epidemic of childhood obesity and the importance of the child care workforce in fighting this very preventable epidemic.
Join our team for the most amazing experience of your life and raise funds to help all children reach their full potential with the great start provided by quality child care and early education!
Here's how team CFC is good for your body AND your soul:
Raise $250 by November 1, 2011 - Get a really cool Connections For Children t-shirt and cap for you! And the funds you raise will help make sure kids have books so they enter kindergarten ready to read.
Raise $750 by December 1 - We will reimburse your Marathon training fee ($135)! And the contribution of $750 can bring a library of books, toys, and musical instruments to ten preschool children.
Raise $1,200 by January 16 - We'll take care of your Marathon registration fee too! $1,200 can help a family with two children afford quality child care so that parents can keep earning while children have fun learning.
