Click the big DONATE button to help Team Goodwill raise money to battle Angelman Syndrome (AS), a rare neurological disorder on the Autism spectrum that occurs in one of every 15,000–20,000 births.

Funding for AS is woefully small despite the increased interest in AS, recent scientific advances and the potential for insight into other related disorders. The National Institutes on Health (NIH) will fund research for over $2.5 billion in the area of aging and $246 million is projected for Alzheimer’s disease alone for 2012. On the other hand, Angelman Syndrome is grouped with other rare human disorders and has no earmarked funding for 2012, so it can use all the help from charitable groups like ours that it can get.

GoodWill was formed in 2011 in honor of Will Sullivan, a 5 year old boy with Angelman Syndrome.  GoodWill's mission is simply to do "something Good, for Will".  GoodWill's primary focus is to raise funds and awareness for Angelman Syndrome research and schools that serve children with special needs.

GoodWill is in the process of filing, with the IRS, its request to be treated as a Section 501(c)(3) public charity and, thus, has entered into a fiscal sponsorship agreement with New Venture Fund, a Section 501(c)(3) public charity. Pursuant to the fiscal sponsorship agreement, New Ventures Fund will further GoodWill's mission by engaging in fundraising activities designed to provide financial support to GoodWill's activities.  However, New Ventures Fund will have complete control and discretion over all funds raised for the purpose of supporting GoodWill's activities.
