JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL wrote -
On November 7, 2010, Team JDRF will run in the ING New York City Marathon to raise awareness for type 1 diabetes and collect donations to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Type 1, or juvenile diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people - a large and growing percentage of them children. Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference. All funds donated to Team JDRF will benefit JDRF and its mission of finding a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
