LEUKEMIA IRONMAN FUNDRAISER FOR ERIC INC
EVENT: RUNNER'S WORLD: OUTRUNNING CANCER
HERE'S THE STORY:
Professional runner Chris Solinsky wears our orange wristband to each race, including his record breaking 10k at the 2010 Stanford Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational!
The Leukemia Ironman Fundraiser for Eric (L.I.F.E.) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to cancer survivorship by providing assistance to cancer patients in need, scholarship programs, helping someone check off a bucket list, and donating to promising research laboratories. We will help draw awareness and contribute towards finding more effective treatments, and one day, a cure.
The history of LIFE involves the story of a young man from Two Rivers, WI named Eric McLean. He is currently battling Acute Myelogenous Leukemia and has achieved remission with the disease on 4 separate occasions. Read more about his remarkable story at http://www.givetolife.org.
Team L.I.F.E. is a group of athletes that are committed to raising awareness, fundraising, and racing to help other children and families affected by cancer. Anyone can join, and there are no contracts. We have running singlets, triathlon and cycling uniforms, and we do ask that the athletes wear them especially for their races. Race results, photos, and fundraising totals will be posted right on the website.
