American Red Cross wrote -

On April 15th, 39 runners will compete in the 117th B.A.A. Boston Marathon to benefit the American Red Cross!

Team Red Cross brings together runners of all ages and abilities in support of the American Red Cross mission. Now in it's second year, Team Red Cross prepares runners for success in the Boston Marathon and provides a rewarding charitable-giving experience.

All funds raised by Team Red Cross benefit American Red Cross programs and services.

About the American Red Cross

Funds raised by Team Red Cross participants will benefit American Red Cross programs and services, including:

Disaster Preparedness and Response, Health and Safety Training, Food and Nutrition Programs, Healthcare Job Training and Nurse Aid State Testing, International Services/Service to the Armed Forces, Volunteer Resources, Youth Programs and more!

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
