Hi!
Thanks for coming to take a look at my fundraising page. I've joined Spaulding's "Race for Rehab" Team and will be running the Boston Marathon in April. The money raised helps patients find their strength at times of great uncertainty.
I am a physical therapist at Spaulding Hospital Cambridge, working on the Oncology and Neurology Units. I am constantly inspired by my patients' will, courage, and dedication to their rehab, often in the face of awful diagnoses and the terrible side-effects of treatment. They remind me to be grateful for my health and to "seize the day."
I'd highly recommend watching “No Quit”, a documentary by Tim O’Donnell. It chronicles the rehab of his father who was treated on our floor and also at Spaulding Rehab in Boston. It is an amazing story. Thank you, Tim for graciously allowing me to include this on my page.
I believe a challenge is the only way to realize our capabilities. This will be my first marathon. I'll draw from the inspiration of my patients and enjoy the journey of the experience. I have committed to raising $5,000 and can only do it with your generosity. No amount is too small. WIth your support, we can make 26.2 miles and $5,000 a reality.
