THE STORY:

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you for visiting the Team Summers/Lewis page. Chrissy and I are thrilled to be running in this year’s Memorial Day Marathon Races in the Berkshires, MA in an effort to raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. It's going to be a great weekend...with lots friends, good memories, and, of course, running!

Our friends, Sam Russo and Carrie Holland, helped organize this event last year, and Sam lended it up to us as a way to harness some of our energy towards a good cause. Needless to say, we jumped on the bandwagon.

For us, Memorial Day is always a time to reflect on our blessings and honor those who have made those blessings possible. We’ve both seen the passion and commitment that so many have made for our great nation. It’s the service-members, families, friends and communities that continue to demonstrate the unwavering American spirit.

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is a reflection of that spirit. As the President recently stated: “The servicemen and women who embody what’s best about America should get the best care we have to offer.” This fund serves United States military personnel and families who were wounded or injured in service to our nation. During the races, Chrissy and I will be carrying an American flag to honor our friends who have made the ultimate sacrifice. By donating to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, you’ll be honoring them with us.
