TRAIN 4 AUTISM wrote -
Autism affects 1 in every 110 children born in the U.S. Despite this staggering statistic, it receives only a fraction of funding for research and treatment when compared to far less prevalent disorders. Train 4 Autism is a parent founded and volunteer managed organization with a goal to unite a very diverse and widespread autism community. We allow our athletes to select the autism programs and organizations that are closest to their hearts to benefit from their hard work and fundraising. Support our efforts to raise funding and awareness for a worthy and desperately in need cause. All Train 4 Autism athletes taking part in The 2011 San Francisco Marathon / Half will receive a technical running shirt. As an added bonus any athlete raising $300 for Train 4 Autism will receive a race entry reimbursement. Raise $500 for Train 4 Autism and receive a T4A commemorative fused glass pendant or lapel pin.
