Owning two adopted puppies has changed my life (for the better!) Please help me raise money to help the humane society, a very worthy cause always trying to improve the lives of homeless pets in our area.

Last year, the WPHS raised more money than they ever have. Thank you for helping me be apart of that last year, and thank you for helping me try to eclipse that this year. Lets save all of the puppies and kitties!

I ran for these guys last year, and could not have been happier with being apart of their team! This year I am joining with my friends/coworkers from Mexi-Casa and completeing the relay challenge! Help us by donating here, or at the Mexi-Casa restaurant to our fundraising efforts!

Welcome! Thank you so much for your interest in running for the Western PA Humane Society in the 2013 Dicks Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon. If you are looking to run the full marathon, ½ marathon, 5K, children’s marathon or put together a marathon relay team all while raising money for Pittsburgh’s homeless pets, then you have come to the right place!

The 2012 Pittsburgh Marathon raised over $56,000 for the homeless animals here at WPHS. With a large portion of that money, we were able to purchase additional cages and hire an additional staff member to expand our offsite adoption efforts. With 1 month still left in our fiscal year, we have already adopted out 1,468 cats and kittens from our offsite locations. That means an additional 388 lives were saved in 2012. Our runners fundraising efforts from the Pittsburgh Marathon helped up to save these lives. Lets work together to raise over $100,000 for the animals of the Western PA Humane Society!
