THAT GIRL GOES LOCAL: Fostering communities to build confidence in young women through impactful conversations.
I AM THAT GIRL is launching a local program that promotes the pillars on which IATG was founded: compassion, collaboration and contribution. We believe that conversations change people, and people change the world. So we wanted amazing young women to get to know each other locally and build their own community to talk about what really matters.
Here’s the challenge… We need YOUR help to reach our goal of activating 50 chapters in 2012. We need to raise $50,000 to meet that goal and significantly impact thousands of girls. That’s only $1,000 per chapter and the lives changed are priceless. We don’t just “hope” you’ll join our mission, we are counting on people like you who realize the potential you have to make real change. We all play our part, and your donation is a vital step in reaching our goal.
THAT GIRL GOES LOCAL gives girls the opportunity to connect with other incredible young women, explore their passions, and contribute to the world. We realize that we as women are strongest when we join forces and that is what we are looking to create - a powerful group of phenomenal women coming together in the name of something bigger than themselves.
Built around compelling and relevant curriculum, we’ve created 52 weeks’ worth of inspiring conversation topics and engagement opportunities. THAT GIRL GOES LOCAL provides the platform for genuine collaboration instead of competition, and emphasizes contribution instead of mere consumption. THAT GIRL GOES LOCAL will ignite a movement of motivated, confident women to discover their unique voices and figure out their life’s mission.
