PHILADELPHIA YOUTH FOR CHANGE
HERE'S THE STORY:
Every year, YouthBuild Philly hosts Thanksgiving for the students -- all former high school dropouts ages 18-21 -- and their children. The staff cooks for the lunch the night before, and classrooms fill with turkeys, hams, casseroles, breads, stuffing, the mashed potatoes, and more.
"This might be the only Thanksgiving many of our students will have this year," said Language Arts Teacher, Dena Rosen, who leads the effort for the luncheon. "Its our way to show our genuine love, compassion and respect for the students and their families."
We appreciate any contribution you can make to the luncheon. If you are interested in donating food for the feast, or volunteering your time to prepare or serve the meal, please contact Kristen at kforbriger@youthbuildphilly.org
