I am a family guy. I love my wife and kids with all my heart! As a family we are passionate about using our gifts and talents to help others. I love to run. In 2006 my passion to run intersected my passion to help others, particularly kids and young adults. I was introduced to a father in need of coaching as he prepared for his first marathon. Little did I know that this was the beginning of a radical journey, which still continues today!
After running the A-T CureTour in 2007, (63 marathons in 63 consecutive days) and many other races with friends and families of the A-T community, I have been inspired to step up my game and personalize my involvement.
I no longer run for those who can't run, I run WITH those who can't run! This new shift started with the Hy-Vee triathlon in June of 2010, racing with my good friend Paige Champion. Then my buddy Jeff Kummer and I signed up to race the P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona marathon. We had a great time! I was humbled by the experiences and particularly by Jeff's ability to press on when things are at their worst.
