STUFF ABOUT ME:
Since I was a little girl seeing people suffer or people in need has had a profound impact on me. My heart literally breaks a little bit every time I see someone struggling for the basic things some of us take for granted. My first fundraising experience was in elementary school to raise money for AIDS awareness and a cure. I have now been fortunate enough to become involved with many charities over the years, from the Save Darfur Coalition to Millennium Promise and many others in between and all around. I am currently involved with Feeding America (formerly America's Second Harvest), Action Against Hunger, Doctors Without Borders, and World Vision on a regular basis. I know my efforts make a difference. I am glad I can help my brothers and sisters all over the world. You can, too. Enough about me! This isn't about me! Let's get to the point and the real reason for all of this...please join one of my project teams, donate, or create your own projects - just do something. We are some of the more fortunate ones and can make a difference. I implore you to try and I thank you for taking the time to read this. God bless! ;-)

I myself just recently arrived down in South Africa to help the Imagine Scholar team (with Corey Johnson) for the next year and cannot rave enough about the work the organization does. The students have truly brightened up my life and blown away all preconceived expectations. I'm really stoked to be working for such a great cause, and am overly excited about all the awesome projects we have in the works for these great kids (the first of which is our SUPER COOL WATER COOLER project to provide clean drinking water for 6 months).
I’d truly love your help though! I’m new to the crowdrise world, so any guidance or advice you could provide a crowd-rise newbie would be greatly appreciated. I wish you all the best and hope that we can stay in touch! Cheers!
