Our Mission
Support our mission by creating your own fundraiser.
Train 4 Autism is an athletic fundraising program unlike any other:
- You select the sport
- You select the event
- You select where your funds go
Feel the joy of crossing the finish line knowing you’ve helped the autism program/organization of your choice. With Train 4 Autism, you’ll gain courage, strength and make a significant impact in the fight against autism. All levels and abilities are welcomed as Train 4 Autism was started by parents, not athletes. Many Train 4 Autism participants are persons competing in their first athletic event ever or athletes that choose to walk a race instead of run – everyone is welcome!
There are several ways to get involved either as an athlete, a sponsor, and/ or a volunteer:
Athletes: You can participate in any event — whether it be a local Walk, 5-K, 10-K, Half or Full Marathon or an Ironman Triathlon. Participants register with Train 4 Autism, then find and enter any event they like. As you train and prepare for your event, you can create your own personal Train 4 Autism webpage, and easily send emails to friends, family, and coworkers telling them about your event and fundraising efforts. You’ll network with other Train 4 Autism athletes and be able to celebrate your accomplishments together while also recognizing what a difference you’ve made by raising funds for an organization doing great work in the Autism community!
Donate: Individuals can make a general donation, or sponsor a Train 4 Autism Athlete. Sponsors can search for a particular athlete by their name or event.
Volunteer: Not an athlete but want to get involved? Volunteers are an important part of Train 4 Autism. We have opportunities to staff expo booths, event registration, water stations, organize events, and more. To become a Train 4 Autism volunteer click here.
What Makes Us Different
As a core component to our program, participants have the option of directing the bulk of the funds that they raise to Autism programs that they feel most deserving and passionate about. Participants can select any organization doing work within the autism community both nationally or locally. We strongly believe that not only is this the right thing to do, we are promoting chapter growth across the country and worldwide as participants see the fruit of their efforts making an impact on programs that are closest to their hearts.
Where Do Athlete Funds Go?
The best part about Train 4 Autism is that 85%* of all funds earned go directly to helping the autism program of your choice! Here’s the breakdown of where every dollar goes:

*Some featured events include coaching and entry fees that will need to be reimbursed before the remainder is directed to the athlete’s charity of choice. Whenever possible, Train 4 Autism will secure these services as a donation or at a discount so as to minimize the amount needed.
