Hey Crowdrise peeps (or CReeps, as I like to refer to you as, hee hee hee)! Thanks for clicking and checking out my CR page.
I'm a 3rd grade teacher in Ann Arbor. I'm also a skateboarder, runner, fiancé, soon-to-be stepdad, local politics junkie, and bourbon lover. I've lived in Ann Arbor my entire live and couldn't think of a better place to live. Michigan is one of the most beautiful places in the country, especially Up North.
I originally joined up to help raise money for my favorite cause, The Friends of the Ann Arbor Skatepark. I'm chair of the board, and have worked hard over the past few years to raise $1,000,000 to build the best skatepark in the midwest, and possibly the country. We're hoping that this fall is going to be the big final push and that we can start construction in 2011. You can help make that happen. Every dollar you give is doubled by the Washtenaw County Parks Commission, so you can double the fun of giving! http://www.crowdrise.com/a2skatepark
As I started to see how easy it is to use CR, I ventured into raising money for other causes that I care about. The Family Learning Institute and the Huron River Watershed Council are two of them. Please take a minute to look at my projects page!
It's awesome to see so many people on Crowdrise working for the good of their communities (and other communities as well). Just remember that although this IS a social networking site, the main goal is to help raise dollars dollars dollars for causes that need it. So, stop reading and find the nearest place to click DONATE! Hopefully it'll be one of my awesome causes ;-)

Because I'm a sad sack who at one point was in first place for points, and now I'm not even on the first PAGE of the leaderboard! Holy smackdown!
