THE STORY:
VENTURE FOR AMERICA INC wrote -
Venture for America (www.ventureforamerica.org) is a program for young, talented grads to spend 2 years in the trenches of a start-up with the goal that they will become socialized and mobilized as entrepreneurs moving forward. We recruit the best and brightest recent college graduates, provide them with training and mentorship, and place them at startups to help build those organizations and get the experience they need to then become business builders and job creators themselves. Our goal is to help create 100,000 new U.S. jobs by 2025.

To revitalize American cities and communities through entrepreneurship.
To enable our best and brightest to create new opportunities for themselves and others.
To restore the culture of achievement to include value-creation, risk and reward, and the common good.
In 2012, Venture for America sent its inaugural class of 40 fellows to Detroit, New Orleans, Providence, Cincinnati and Las Vegas to live and work at startups there for two years. Already these recent grads have become valuable contributors to their employers and four Fellows have even founded a non-profit organization called The StartUp Effect, which teaches entrepreneurship in middle schools in New Orleans and Detroit.
By contributing to VFA, you ensure that we will continue to be able to send the country's best and brightest to the companies and cities that need them this year and every year thereafter.
