HERE'S THE STORY:
We had an incredible wedding and everyone was unbelievably generous. We want to say thank you by giving a little back in the names of our amazing guests. We've donated $10 per individual or $20 per couple to the Garden School Foundation, a small Los Angeles-based coalition of community organizations, educators and local businesses working to build teaching gardens and kitchens at Los Angeles public schools, beginning with the 24th Street School, in turn impacting the lives of thousands of young people.
We chose the Garden School Foundation because it reflects so many of our values: education, food justice and building community and building community. And because: "schools should be like parks not prisons; the best way to learn about good food is to grow it; and children have to know nature to love it."
