STUFF ABOUT ME:

Hi fellow Crowdrisers! My name is Will Hill. I'm the Executive Director for the Got Your Back Movement (www.gybmovement.org), a non-profit focused on getting kids in school.

In many countries, school is offered for free, but in order to attend that free school, a child must have a proper school uniform. This cost alone keeps hundreds of thousands of children out of school. Got Your Back provides these necessary school uniforms to children and plans on eradicating educational hurdles such as these. It's Got Your Back's goal to make education possible for EVERY child. Also, in every country that we are working in, we work with local tailors to produce every uniform we gift away. We're focused on creating sustainability & community involvement rather than dependency on aid. I love this program and you should too! Join one of our project teams today!

On a personal note, I enjoy listening to & writing music, reading anything I can get my hands on, & tweeting on twitter. I also seriously believe that the island from LOST is a real place that I will go one day to visit. ;)

WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME:

Because I'm Awesome. It's that simple.

one july vote for you

Hi Will

My name is Hakeem Ngubane from Kamhlushwa, South Africa. I'm trying to raise money for our Imagine Scholar students to make it to classes, Each ride costs between $1 and $2 dollars each way and there are 9 to 11 classes per month. It works out to an average of $39 per student per month. This is not a big cost, but it’s a luxury that none of our students or their families can afford.

If you want to learn more about Imagine Scholar check out our website www.ImagineScholar.org.

Thanks so much for your support!!

Happy July, friend!

I have just started full-time work at my all-time favorite nonprofit, Reader to Reader. I am so excited to be spending so much of time bringing books and literacy to the people who really need them. RTR gives books free of charge to low-income and minority populations in schools, shelters and public libraries. We’ve donated over 4 million books since we gave our first box of books to a school in Mississippi that hadn’t bought a single new book since the first man on the moon. (That’s 1969, so almost forty years without a new book!) Now we work with libraries in twelve countries and train college students to start their own literacy initiatives.

Please consider donating to Reader to Reader (I have so many of our projects up here) to support this awesome work. We’re really going places and I am so excited to be a part of it!
Thanks,
Kat
