First of all, Crowdrise is amazing! It makes it so easy to help each other out. I can't believe it took me so long to come across this place.
I am raising money for a couple of charities that are close to my heart. My beautiful cousin, Carolynn, was diagnosed with Lupus several years ago, and I want to raise as much money as I can to help find a cure. I participate in the annual Walk for Lupus 5k, and each year have been one of the top 3 fundraisers and top 3 highest fundraising teams. Some of my other projects include Pencils of Promise, Random Acts and the Ian Somerhalder Foundation. Each of these great organizations show that the smallest acts and can make the biggest changes, whether it be in the life of a child, our environment or an abandoned animal. It’s our duty to make the world a better place, and my pleasure to be one of the individuals to help do so.
