HERE'S THE STORY:
With your support, I'll be participating in the Virginia Wine Country Half Marathon this June.
The charity I am supporting is KARNO KIDS. You may have seen Ultramarathon Man, Dean Karnazes, on television or in the news. His charity, KARNO KIDS, is dedicated to fighting childhood obesity by encouraging, motivating, and inspiring our youth to get outside and become physically active and to restore & preserve the environment for their use and enjoyment.. It is a worthy and noble cause, for sure. And, while you won't catch me running 50 marathons in 50 days as Dean has done, I've challenged myself to run a half marathon in support of KARNO KIDS.
My fundraising goal IS NOW $750 (after already hitting my initial goal of $500!!!). Anything you are able and willing to contribute toward that goal is greatly appreciated.
