n 2010, a small group of riders set out to ride 200 miles from Des Moines to Okaboji as a test of personal achievement. In 2011, the same group of riders transformed the ride into a fundraiser and platform to fight human trafficking. In the last 4 years over $110,000 has been raised and ridership has increased to over 40 participants. The funds raised for this event help support local efforts to provide restoration homes for the survivors of sex trafficking, a safe house for sex trafficking survivors in Nepal and to fully fund an awareness film called Don't Get into the Van. Hundreds of lives have been positively impacted by the OK200 ride.
