A Prayer for Paul : Can you join us ?
May 31, 2016
Thank you for reading , sharing this story and making a donation to Honor this Vet. Paul is my partner of 23 years. We had lost everything to Hurricane Andrew 1992. We moved to Port St Luce Fl in 1993. We started over, bought a home, slowly over years of work we established our home.
In 2004 hurricanes struck PSL. The house was devastated. We filed a claim but the Ins filed bankruptcy. FICA took over. They too failed us. The City received funds but by then we were disabled due to Toxigenic Mold growing in the home where we wee now trapped. And the City did not accommodate our new disabilities. We were trapped in mold infestation. They denied us help. Left us to die.
For 3 years we begged the city for help. By then I was on oxygen. The city instead fined us repeatedly. They however never sent us notice to accommodate disabilities. They have now stolen the home from us. They allowed a company to come in and steal all of our antiques, collectibles etc that were in the home. Now Paul has cancer. We finally had some help to try to recover some of that to sell for some treatment for him. Due to fungal exposure and disabilities from fungus there is no possible way he can do chemo or radiation. We must travel to get alternative care not covered by any Ins. He also needs special housing. We have basically been living out of a car for the last 12 years. Unable to tolerate chemical environments due to disabilities caused by fungal exposure. He is now facing homeless again. Our current housing is making us sicker.
It is our intention to use funds for a down payment on an RV, pay for testing for fungus, travel to Arizona and get the medical attention and medicine he so desperately needs.
Thank you for sharing, caring and donating.
