A unique program for female STEM enthusiasts and professionals. By joining 1000 Girls 1000 Futures our students and mentors gain access to a network of awesome female STEM enthusiasts and professionals who are mutually supportive and provide layered peer mentoring for each other through social interaction, message boards, online events like AMA’s, and activities like an optional Book Club. This is a safe, fun place for #WomenInSTEM!
Participants create long-lasting, impactful mentoring relationships that help retain them in STEM fields as they enter college.
1000 Girls 1000 Futures Class of 2016-2017:
• 630 Mentees applied for 300 spots from 32 countries
• 314 Mentees accepted, 20 returning from 2015-2016
• 490 Mentor applications applied for 300 spots from 30 countries
• 300 Mentors accepted, 90 returning from 2015-2016
$25: Covers one complimentary Young Membership for an under-18 student in the program
$50: Gives one student access to our skill-building courses for leadership, critical thinking, and communication
$100: Provides one mentor with a complimentary Academy membership
$250: Funds one month of live, virtual interactions for mentors and mentees with influential STEM leaders from all over the world
$500: Starts a travel scholarship pool for select qualifying students based on need to attend the GSA Summit
