The 100,000 Homes Campaign is partnering with the Travel Channel in our mission to find homes for 100,000 homeless Americans by July 2013! For every viewer who watches the March 1 episode of Bizarre Foods, the Travel Channel will donate ten cents to the 100,000 Homes Campaign, up to $100,000. Tune in and help end homelessness!

The 100,000 Homes Campaign is a national movement to find homes for 100,000 long-term, vulnerable homeless people across the United States by July of 2013. A key element of the campaign is proving that homelessness is a solvable problem by connecting communities in a way that allows for collaboration and innovation in developing strategies to move people off the streets.
Because the human journey can take some challenging turns, Travel Channel and Bizarre Foods host Andrew Zimmern are teaming up with the network’s viewers to support the 100,000 Homes Campaign in its work to find housing for homeless Americans.
The outreach effort will begin with the March 1 episode of Bizarre Foods, when Zimmern travels to San Francisco to work with local organizations that offer support to homeless people in the Bay Area. Travel Channel has committed to donate 10 cents for every viewer who watches the March 1 San Francisco episode – up to $100,000 – to the 100,000 Homes Campaign. Additionally, Travel Channel will promote the 100,000 Homes Campaign throughout the new season of Bizarre Foods, hosted by Zimmern, with on-air messaging, banners, social media support, viral video and other digital marketing efforts.
By involving viewers of Bizarre Foods in the cause, Travel Channel and Zimmern are encouraging even more people to be part of the solution.
