BENEFITING: TEEN CHALLENGE NEW ENGLAND INC
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
This year I get to run my #1 dream race-the New York City Marathon. I grew up watching my big cousin Scott run this race, never imagining that I'd have the will or the grit or the strength to do the same. I'll do it a lot slower for sure, but I will run this race strong and proud in November, 2016.
To me, running the marathon is about doing the things that once seemed impossible, about pushing myself to the edge and then pushing a bit more. it's about knowing that, in the hardest times in my life, that I am so much bigger and stronger than those limits in my head.
I am dedicating this marathon to a young man who has shown everyone who knows him what it means to be brave, strong and humble. Through his faith and openness, he has overcome addiction and created a beautiful life. He shares his experience with other young people to warn them of the dangers of addiction and to show them that there is a better way to finding happiness. Please help me to raise money for Teen Challenge, the faith-based rehab program that has helped this young man and so many others find the way to a good and clean life.
