Every six minutes in america a woman is diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer.
September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness month. Every woman is at risk for developing a gynecologic cancer - last available data shows 98,000 new cases diagnosed annually (American Cancer Society). Most of these cancers are diagnosed in later stages because there are no routine tests to detect them at an early stage, which is why it is so critical to draw attention to Gynecologic Cancers - ovarian, cervical, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar, which pose significant threats to women’s health.
Most importantly, join us for the 11th Annual Ovarian & Gynecologic Cancers 5k to celebrate the women and families impacted by these cancers.
