Update from Aedan's mom:
December 22, 2016
BENEFITING: Believe Project Inc
EVENT DATE: Dec 24, 2016
The Believe Project is urgently raising funds to support two local families in dire need this holiday season. We need to act fast, in time for Christmas! Here are their stories...
Aedan Wall (Marlboro, NJ):
Aedan is a 19-year old student at Brookdale Community College who, just one year ago, seemed to be the picture of health. He loved to work out and was in great shape. Earlier this year, Aedan discovered a lump in his perineum. Unfortunately, it turned out to be an aggressive and advanced form of cancer, called Rhabdomyosarcoma. As a result, we had been working on delivering some Christmas Magic and Cheer to him and his family. However, on December 12th, we received word from his devastated mother that doctors are now giving him just days to live! We are now scrambling and need your help!
The family is trying to process the unimaginable (during Christmas, no less). Aedan's mom, dad, and older brother spent Monday "crying all day" and no doubt will be doing the same for days on end going forward. It will take nothing short of a Christmas Miracle to save Aedan's life. If they lose Aedan soon, as doctors expect, they will be dealing with the substantial costs of burying their son. We desperately need your deductible donation to give the Wall's the gift of Mercy this year.
The funds we raise will now go toward giving Aedan the graceful service and dignified burial that he and his family deserves. Until then, we also need to help them cover the ongoing expenses as it pertains to his care, and as it pertains to the loss of income. We would also like to help them with some simple meals and gift cards so they don't have to worry about cooking and cleaning or the expense of eating out, while staying by Aedan's bedside.
David Towers (Keansburg, NJ) [Pictured]:
David is a beautiful little 2-year old boy. At 6-months old, his parents started to notice that he wasn't meeting his expected milestones and he was barely gaining weight. To this date, his diagnosis is unclear, but it's pointing towards Pill-Hopkins Syndrome, a rare disease that is seen in only 500 individuals worldwide. Unfortunately, they have been waiting since September for the insurance company to approve the expensive blood work it will take to test for Pill-Hopkins.
David is now receiving 12 hours of in-home nursing care at night so that his mother can get some sleep to care for him during the day. David requires a feeding tube just to eat. This past September, David's father had a heart attack and has since been let go from his job. They also lost their house during Super Storm Sandy back in 2012 and are now renting a home in Keansburg. Due to the lack of income, the Tower's family is behind in their rent and finding it very hard to fill their fridge. David's sister, Jaylynne, is an innocent 6-year old girl who can't wait for Santa to come!
Your donation will also help the Towers family this Christmas to help them get back on their feet with rental and food assistance, along with providing David and his sister Jaylynne some Christmas presents from Santa!! Let's make a Christmas Miracle happen for this family, and blow the roof off for Santa to glide right in!
The Believe Project strives to bring some peace to the Wall and Towers families this Christmas but we can not do it with out you. Thank you and God Bless you and your family.
