Time flies when you're having fun! It's already been a whole year since I joined the Tenant Worker Center team as a community organizer and golly has it been full of "firsts" (see photos for more!).
It was the first time for me, Carly, and Kwai Fang to visit Philly, where the two of them participated in a photoshoot highlighting the role of informal sector workers in our economy. Despite spraining my ankle to the point of needing crutches (also a first!) in Philly, it was worth the chance to see our members represent CPA on a national issue and broaden their own understanding of our movement work.
I'm excited to share that in just a few weeks, the three of us will continue to deepen our growth and commitment to the growing domestic workers movement by heading to Washington, DC, where we will be the first CPA delegation to join the National Domestic Workers Alliance National Assembly. Please follow me on social media to find out what we do!
This is also the first time we at Seeding Change have held a National Peer Coaching Circle! When I started four years ago, it was only a handful of us and now we are nearly 20. It's been a privilege and honor to give life to a space that nurtures a vibrant community of committed organizers!
In the spirit of celebrating abundance, I invite you all to join in generously giving anything you can to help me reach my goal of $500 so that this impactful work is sustainable!
