The Story

EVENT DATE: Jun 03, 2012

DEADLINE TO GIVE: Jul 03, 2012

EVENT DATE: SUNDAY, JUNE 3, 2012

For 2012, the KIDSBRIDGE WALK2STOP BULLYING is reaching out to the entire community in an effort to raise awareness and resources to fight bullying. This year we're making it easier than ever to let all of our participants, volunteers and supporters get involved and help make a difference.

KIDSBRIDGE is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing imaginative, hands-on exhibits in the Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum, generously housed on the campus of The College of New Jersey in Ewing. These programs focus on: anti-bullying and anti-cyberbullying; tolerance; diversity appreciation and respect for all persons; victim empowerment and positive self-esteem; conflict resolution and empathy; sensitivity to persons with disabilities; understanding of LGBT persons and grassroots youth activism.

The Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum is the only youth-oriented tolerance museum in the United States, and each year more than 2,000 students and educators visit the Museum, learning strategies to better deal with the challenging character education and diversity appreciation issues facing today’s youth.  The Museum includes components of the exhibit “Face to Face: Dealing with Prejudice and Discrimination,” an exhibit created by the Chicago Children’s Museum that Kidsbridge purchased in 2006.  In an open and interactive environment, TCNJ students and professors interact with visiting elementary and middle school students and educators.  To date, more than 8,800 youth have visited the Museum.
