1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk
Register and raise $25 by May 7th to receive a T-shirt!
Each year, the IOCDF hosts the flagship Boston 1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk at Jamaica Pond over the first weekend in June. Additionally, many IOCDF Affiliates hold Walk events in their local areas, a complete list of which can be found here: www.crowdrise.com/iocdf. Not seeing a 1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk near you? Not a problem — register to participate in a Community Walk and start fundraising and raising awareness today!
Step 1: Click the Register button above and either register as an individual, create a Walk Team to invite friends and family to participate, or join an existing team.
Step 2: When you register you will automatically be given a fundraising page, which you can customize to make your own by adding photos, videos, and text telling everyone why walking in the 1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk program is important to you.
Step 3: Share your fundraising page with family and friends and ask them to join you and/or donate ot your page! All Community Walk participants who raise a minimum of $25 by Monday, May 7th will receive a commemorative Walk T-shirt shipped to them directly by June 2nd.
Where, when, and how you walk is completely up to you! Choose a date and venue for your Community Walk Team to gather and show their support of one another while raising awareness for OCD and related disorders. Ideal Community Walk dates are between the first two weekends in June (6/2 through 6/10) and your venue can be your own neighborhood or backyard, a public park, an open school track, etc. Choose to map out a 5k loop or simply plan a meet up for community members to share their experiences and support one another. If you receive a T-shirt for raising a minimum $25, make sure to wear it on Walk day and take photos and share them using the hashtag #OCDwalk!
If you don't plan on walking but still wish to fundraise, simply register for the Community Walk as an individual, add your story and why fundraising for the 1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk is important to you, and share with your family and friends!
