On Saturday, October 15, 2016, National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS (NBLCA) will host its’ 1st Annual NBLCA Field Day at Jackie Robinson Park, located at 145th St btwn Bradhurst and Edgecombe. Field Day will feature childhood games like kickball, hula hoop, and double-dutch, as well as classic sports like baseball, basketball, and soccer.
This event will be a fun and enjoyable opportunity to raise money and awareness to help change the future for all people of color who are directly and indirectly impacted by HIV/AIDS or other health disparities. Participating in the 1st Annual Field Day will empower you to make a difference and provides you with an opportunity to honor someone affected by HIV or AIDS. Everyone is touched by HIV or AIDS in a different way - Join us and share your personal story as we unite our communities and raise funds to:
• Raise public awareness about HIV/AIDS and its effects on our community
• Bring hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disease
• Bring the Black community together as one strong voice to urge the government and private sector to take action
