BENEFITING: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
EVENT DATE: Oct 09, 2011
On Sunday October 9th, I am taking on my 4th marathon, the 2011 Chicago Marathon. I am using this opportunity to raise funds as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. Team In Training raises funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. LLS is important to me, as I recently lost my father to leukemia after a three year battle. I am running the 2011 Chicago Marathon in honor and in memory of my father and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. They are the real heroes, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure.
Please consider making a donation today to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and Myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. All donations are 100% tax deductible and 75% of every dollar raised goes to support the LLS mission.
