Hi All, As many of you know, I have been a Big Brother in both New York and Los Angeles for most of the last 15 years. I have been fortunate enough to mentor three young individuals over this time frame and can definitely attest to the value of this program. Currently I am matched with Brandon Reyes, an 11 year old in NYC who I was introduced to last spring.
The Big Brothers program in NYC recently approached me about running the New York Half Marathon in March, with the goal of raising $2,500. Given that I ran the New York FULL Marathon in November 2004, this shouldn't be too hard, right?!
I invite you to donate in support of Big Brothers of New York. I appreciate any donation and can assure you that it is going to a great cause. The organization does fantastic work for youths in the NYC area, which I have seen first hand.
Thank you so much!

This year we will be having 10 amazing individuals running the NYC Half Marathon in honor of Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC and each raising $2,500 for the Organization.
Most of us have been touched by someone who believed in us and encouraged us to become the best we could be. At BBBS of NYC, we match 3,000 boys and girls with carefully screened and trained adult mentors annually. These relationships last years, if not a lifetime. Each of these friendships are closely monitored by our social workers, who also help our “Littles” and their family's access important social services such as medical care, schooling and housing.
We can not thank our runners and their supporters enough for their support. Children are the future and by investing in them, we invest in the future of our city.
