Why I'm doing it:
After having wanted to see the work TFFT is doing on the ground in Tanzania for many years, and having just returned from there in February, I decided to tackle the challenge of 400 miles by bike accross the country.
Am I a biker? NO! Will I win? YES!
With an intense combination of pure cockiness, a bit of naiveté and the raw challenge itself, I embark this June on what is sure to make the "Ben Top 100 List."
How can you say no to this face..and the kid on the left too (my man Dickson)!
Step up people and support a cause dear to my heart! I promise video to all those who donate.
FOUNDATION FOR TOMORROW wrote -
RIDETZ began as a vision to combine Tanzania’s culture, land, and people with athletic challenge and fundraising efforts. Over the years, many of the individuals who support The Foundation For Tomorrow (TFFT) have expressed an interest in traveling to Tanzania to witness TFFT’s impact. We wanted to provide this opportunity and to expand it to include a comprehensive view of the country considering it is a remarkably beautiful place.
Why not travel by bicycle? From Mount Kilimanjaro to the Indian Ocean? Along an ancient slave trade route?
It is a labor of love, and in June 2012 the second group of RIDETZ riders will mount their bikes to begin RIDETZ’s arduous and exhilarating 10-day journey.
