TEAM RAP: Running for Resilience...
Help Team RAP raise $5000 (or more!) for the Resilience Advocacy Project, an anti-poverty organization that uses innovative youth leadership and advocacy initiatives to give young people in poverty the tools to become powerful self- and community advocates.
WHAT IS TEAM RAP?
We have a team a three amazing people who will be taking on NY's most prestigious Olympic Triathlon - a 1500m swim, 40K ride, and 10K run - in order to raise money for RAP! They are swimming, riding and running in order to rally people to support RAP's work helping young people living in poverty build a better life for themselves.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Donate today to help us reach our goal of $5000!!
WHY SHOULD I DONATE?
Because every child born into poverty deserves an opportunity to chart their own destiny. We use youth leadership and civic engagement to help teens build the problem-solving and critical thinking skills they need to self-advocate for critical educational, health and economic resources. Since our founding less than five years ago, we have helped over 500 teens take charge of their destinies and move out of poverty.
We're raising $5000 in order to reach 1000 more teens this Fall!

Team RAP is sponsored by the Catalog for Giving, an official charity partner with the 2012 NYC Triathlon! The Catalog was created especially for people who want to make a deep and lasting difference in kids’ lives, but do not have the time or the means to discover all the wonderful organizations that provide invaluable services to New York City children. Every three years The Catalog scours the City, and selects the “best of the best” small young programs from among dozens of applicants. The Catalog provides “second stage funding” for a three-year period to help this catalog of amazing organizations grow from early success to self-sufficiency and long range sustainability.
